In fact, the airport features the world’s largest covered multi-level parking facility in a single structure. Divided into 5 blocks, the airport parking has a capacity of 18.000 parking spots while a total of 40.000 parking spaces are available, including the terrace floors of the 5 parking buildings and the outdoor parking lots. The five parking buildings are named after colors. Thus, the Red Car Park, the Blue Car Park, the Turquoise Car Park, and the Purple Car Park are 6-floor buildings, while the Yellow Car Park has 2 floors.
Which Istanbul Airport Parking Lot to Choose
Overall, passengers heading to the international zone of IST Airport (Arrivals or Departures) are advised to use the Blue, Yellow, or Red Parking Lots. On the other hand, the Turquoise and Purple Car Parks can be found closer to the Domestic Arrivals and Departures. You can check the nearest entry and exit gates (within an 8-20-minute distance) from each IST Airport parking lot in detail:

Parking Availability
Istanbul Airport provides both short-term services and long-term parking options (up to 30 days). Hence, you can subscribe for a 15- or 30-day stay and rest assured that your vehicle will be safe and secure. If you plan to stay for more than 7 days, you should buy the 15-day subscription, whereas if your stay exceeds 15 days, you should purchase the 30-day subscription. In both cases, you must purchase the subscription within three hours of the time you enter the car park. Otherwise, you’ll be charged the daily rate for each day of your stay.

Moreover, citizens with disabilities can use the car park without charge for up to 15 days, but their physical presence in the car is required as well as handing in the necessary documentation in person. Finally, you should be aware that, for the moment, pre-booking a parking spot is available only via the airport’s app.
Valet Services at Istanbul Airport
Valet services are also available at Istanbul Airport. You can simply drop off your vehicle to a staff member, have it parked for you, and retrieve it upon your return to the airport. Previous reservations aren’t available.
The drop-off valet points at IST Airport are:
- Level P6 of the Purple Car Park (opposite Gate 3 of Departures level)
- Level P6 of the Red Car Park (opposite Gate 6 of Departures level)
- In front of the Entrance of the CIP terminal
On the other hand, customers can collect their vehicles by going to Level P3 of the Red and Purple Car Parks.
The cost of the valet service is 600₺ (12.85€/14.90$), plus parking fees based on the duration of stay and any additional services (car wash, vehicle repair, etc.). Payments can be made at the following locations:
- Domestic Valet Payment Point: on the terminal’s Arrivals area, near Gate 9.
- International Valet Payment Point: on the terminal’s Arrivals area, near Gate 13.
- Purple Car Park’s Valet Payment Point: on the car park’s Level P3 (A04)
- Red Car Park’s Valet Payment Point: on the car park’s Level P3 (A06)
Istanbul Airport Parking Fees
Istanbul airport fares differ depending on the parking spot. Therefore, there is a different price if you park your vehicle at the multi-store Car Park and another one if your parking spot is at the open parking lot. You should also be aware that, for the moment, pre-booking a parking spot is available only via the airport’s app.

Our Tip: There was a free-of-charge policy for praying guests who used the Ali Kuşçu Mosque park to pray. However, that changed. Thus, today, those guests should issue a parking ticket and scan it at the dedicated kiosks located inside the mosque. They won’t be charged for the first 35 minutes provided they scan their ticket within the 35-minute time frame. Otherwise, they must pay the relevant fees, according to their stay.

Furthermore, automatic devices are at your disposal on Levels P2, P3, P4, P5, and P6 of the Red and Purple Car Parks, and P2, P4, P5, and P6 of the Turquoise and Blue Parking Lots. Finally, the Yellow Car Park features automatic payment points on its Level P2.
If you are interested in subscribing to a long-term parking service (15-30 days), you can pay at the information desks or the ticket counters of the Purple and Red Car Parks. Mobile payments are also an option. Moreover, travelers can also use the automatic payment machines scattered throughout all the parking lots’ premises. Finally, all car parks are equipped with exit barriers that support payment via the Fast-Pass System (HGS).
